Hopper is helping us give the gift of travel this holiday season with new gift cards available to purchase on their site.
The travel booking app will make gift cards for flights, hotels, rental cars, and rental home bookings, the Hopper shared in an announcement to Travel + Leisure.
The gift cards will be available to purchase directly through the Hopper app, on the company’s website, or through Amazon as well as in stores like Best Buy.
Once purchased, the gift cards never expire so travelers don’t have to worry about being on a ticking clock.
“Travel and experiences are a top priority among younger Americans – and in recent years, gifting experiences has become increasingly popular for the holidays,” Lindsay Schwimer, a consumer travel expert at Hopper, told T+L, adding customers “can gift an entire trip to family and friends. No need to stress about finding the perfect present for everyone on your list, give the gift of travel to your loved ones this year.”
Travelers looking to score a good deal can also use Hopper’s tools like Price Freeze in which travelers shopping can lock in a good rate.
Hopper isn’t alone in offering gift cards for travel. Several airlines, cruise lines, and home rental companies like Airbnb also offer similar options, as well as fellow travel booking site Hotels.com.
Hopper’s gift card launch comes as the winter holiday season is shaping up to be busy and pricey — in fact, flights for Thanksgiving are expected to be about 12 percent more expensive than last year. Those looking to save some dough should consider traveling the Friday after Thanksgiving or on Dec. 18 for Christmas, which are the least-expensive days around the respective holidays.

You’re headed home for the holidays—and hopefully, barring any flight delays, you make it before the turkey hits the table or the holiday festivities get underway. A new report from Upgraded Points, a points and miles website, reveals the airports where travelers are most likely to be delayed during the winter holiday season.

Whether you’re looking to vacation like King Charles III or unwind like Queen Elizabeth II, here are a handful of stunning royalty-approved UK properties that any commoner can book.
Two books bestrode my childhood, and made me the man I am: The Magic Bridle, a collection of British and Irish myths retold by the folklorist Forbes Stuart, which ignited my six-year-old imagination in 1974, and Mysterious Britain by Janet and Colin Bord, published two years earlier, and part of a then burgeoning bookseller phenomenon of often unreliable Earth mysteries compendiums. Nonetheless, they set this particular boy off, seeking out ancient sites whenever possible. Now everything has wilted but I still have calves of iron, and I can identify the outline of a hilltop earthwork from a moving car on a motorway as surely as a falcon seeing a field mouse 500 feet below.
