Hotel Anna & Bel is located at 1401 E. Susquehanna Avenue in Philadelphia, PA.
Hotel Anna & Bel set to open in Fishtown, Philadelphia in March 2024 will be a 50-key serene urban escape that inspires discoveries with every visit. Nestled on the crossroads of Susquehanna and Belgrade in Philadelphia’s artistic enclave of Fishtown, just steps away from the lively music, art, and culinary scene of the neighborhood, Hotel Anna & Bel will breathe new life into a collection of historic structures including the 18th century building that once served as a former women’s asylum and later, the historic Penn Home, one of the city’s earliest retirement homes.
A haven for locals and visitors alike, the boutique property is designed by Philadelphia-based development team, Foyer Project alongside B-March, seamlessly combining classic and contemporary elements with vintage elegance and nods to the building’s historic femininity. Examples include design inspiration from century-old wallpaper and layers of pastel colors discovered during the renovation process, embroidery detail throughout public spaces, and the use of dedicated curves and graceful lines within the overall design and furniture decisions, representative of femininity.
Each of Anna & Bel’s guest rooms – ranging from studios to two-bedrooms – will have varied layouts so every stay is different. An interior courtyard and heated pool serve as the heart of the property with buzzing, evolving energy throughout the day. A selection of rooms feature terraces overlooking the courtyard oasis, reminiscent of balconies in the French Quarter in New Orleans. Creative spaces and curated amenities such as a lounge/co-working space, bar, treatment room, and sauna will be completed with a stand-alone Mediterranean-inspired chef restaurant.
