It's not too late to join the cast of Royal Caribbean's Ultimate World Cruise , turned what The New York Times has deemed "TikTok's favorite new reality show."
TikTok has become obsessed with Royal Caribbean's nine-month around-the-world cruise since it embarked in December 2023. And for good reason: Its operator has touted this as one of the longest global sailings on the market. Through September 10, the Serenade of the Seas and its globetrotting travelers are scheduled to stop at more than 150 destinations across 65 countries.
TikToks about the Ultimate World Cruise have since received millions of views. And it seems like everyone on TravelTok has been keeping a close eye on these seafarers, eagerly awaiting updates about the potential drama at sea.
If you're one of the many people captivated by this nine-month cruise, you too can join the sailing.
But to do so, it won't be cheap.
Despite cruise line President and CEO Michael Bayley's previous predictions, the world cruise has yet to sell out.
When it was first unveiled, the nine-month itinerary could be booked in four monthslong segments. The first is already underway. On Monday, a reservations representative told Business Insider that the second is now sold out.
But the third and fourth segments, the "Ultimate Middle East and Mediterranean" and "Ultimate Europe and Beyond" itineraries, respectively, are still available to book. Both are 63 nights.
A handful of the grand suites, interior, oceanview, and balcony cabins are available on the latter half of the itinerary, the representative said. The most expensive owner's suite is on the market as well. (Royal Caribbean did not respond to Business Insider's request to confirm this.)
Still, it won't be cheap: The least expensive interior stateroom starts at over $16,850 per person for the fourth segment, the representative told Business Insider. Broken down, it'll be almost $270 per day for a windowless cabin, a price comparable to nicer cabins on premium cruise ships.
If several months at sea still seems too long, travelers can also join shorter legs of the Ultimate World Cruise ranging from nine to 29 nights, starting at over $1,760 per person.
Besides Royal Caribbean, operators like Regent Seven Seas Cruises and Azamara also operate world cruises, albeit more expensive and much shorter.

PERFECT DAY AT COCOCAY, Bahamas -- I listened to the leaves of palm trees flap in the wind as I swayed in an orange hammock.
Egad, does it really cost that much?
Familiarity set in when Angie Linderman stepped inside her cabin on Royal Caribbeans's Serenade of the Seas Ultimate World Cruise, a nine-month sailing to 65 countries.
Royal Caribbean will officially open its long-awaited adults-only beach on the private island Perfect Day at CocoCay next week, but TPG got an early look at the 18-and-older oasis, known as Hideaway Beach.

The Seven Seas just got a bit more crowded: Nine new world cruises have recently set sail, joining Royal Caribbean's ongoing Ultimate World Cruise in a quest to travel around the world in 2024.
Luxury cruise expert Mundy Cruising has launched an extraordinary programme, The Ultimate Luxury Cruise, which combines iconic destinations, amazing travel experiences and superlative accommodations to create a 105-day journey, departing Tokyo on 14th April 2025 and finishing in Dubrovnik on 26th July 2025. Customer research at the top end of the market by Mundy Cruising has revealed a range of travel trends and priorities for its discerning client base, including longer trips, slow travel, iconic experiences, bucket list destinations and a desire to return to gentler (and arguably Pre-Covid) times.
The bigger the better, the more the merrier: The world's two largest cruise ships have finally met.
Royal Caribbean confirmed it will not be cutting short its famed Ultimate World Cruise, the 274-night voyage around the world, despite recent rumors that have been circulating online.
“The people on this cruise ship continue to give me dirty looks everywhere I go,” Marc Sebastian announces to his 1.5 million followers on TikTok. He is filming in a cabin onboard the ship, addressing the camera in classic reality-TV confessional style. Text floats above his head. It reads: “day one on the 9 month cruise.”
Cruisers typically have to leave their four-legged friends at home when they go on vacation. But one lucky pup gets to come along for an adventure aboard Royal Caribbean’s newest ship, Icon of the Seas.
