JetBlue Is Welcoming Delta Status Holders With New Loyalty Matching Program — How to Sign Up

JetBlue on Tuesday became the latest airline to agree to status match for Delta Air Lines customers after the carrier changed how passengers can earn status for next year.
JetBlue will allow travelers who currently hold status with Delta to automatically earn an equivalent status with its airline, JetBlue shared with Travel + Leisure. That JetBlue status will then be valid through Dec. 30, but can be extended another year either by opening a JetBlue Plus or Business card by that date or completing a status challenge.
The offer comes as Delta has made it harder to earn status with the airline in 2024 and follows a similar status matching program from Alaska Airlines.
“Following a refresh of the TrueBlue program that made earning Mosaic status easier and quicker than ever before," JetBlue wrote in a statement shared with T+L. «JetBlue is happy to offer Medallion members the loyalty that they deserve.”
The JetBlue status matching program is valid for customers who apply by Oct. 31, but is only available to the first 30,000 travelers who sign up. Those who are approved will receive their status match by Nov. 6.
To apply, travelers must fill out a form online.
Delta customers who currently have Silver Medallion status will receive JetBlue’s Mosaic 1 status, Gold Medallion customers will receive Mosaic 2 status, Platinum Medallion customers will receive Mosaic 3 status, and Diamond Medallion customers will receive Mosaic 4 status.
It may be worth noting that Mosaic 4 status includes credits for 4 one-way helicopter transfers between Manhattan and JFK or Newark airport.
For its part, JetBlue recently overhauled its own TrueBlue loyalty program using a “tile” system. Travelers can choose a reward for every 10 tiles they earn through the company’s “Perks You Pick” system, including access to expedited security lanes or an onboard alcoholic drink. Travelers who then reach the first status tier, Mosaic 1, receive perks like two free checked bags, free automatic upgrades to “Even More Space” seats, free same-day switches, and free on-board beer, wine, and liquor.
Unlike Delta, however, JetBlue doesn’t operate its own airport lounges.
