Traveling carry-on only just got easier for guests staying at Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants.
The boutique hotel brand has partnered with apparel retailer Anthropologie to offer guests access to a collection of stylish accessories they can borrow at no charge whatsoever. The program, dubbed “Forgot It? We’ve Got It!,” aims to eliminate the stress travelers face trying to remember everything on their packing list and edit down their wardrobe into a carry-on bag for a trip.
You can consider your accessories taken care of as a Kimpton guest.
Plus, if you find yourself doing something unexpected on your next vacation—like dining at a fancy restaurant or hitting the town for some nightlife—Kimpton can lend you an accessory to put the finishing touch on your look.
“Knowing accessories are often the first items to get cut or overlooked while packing, this partnership and accessories collection with Anthropologie provides guests with a chic solution in the event they've forgotten that perfect clutch or great pair of sunglasses or want to add a little extra something special to their style or seasonal look—whether it’s for a weekend getaway, business meeting, rooftop concert, or night out,” said Kathleen Reidenbach, senior vice president of marketing and commercial for IHG Luxury & Lifestyle Americas and Kimpton Global, in a statement.
Want to borrow an accessory during your stay? First, take a look at what’s on offer in the Kimpton x Anthropologie storefront. It has photos, styling suggestions, and other key info about each of the eight accessories in the current collection, which will change seasonally. Highlights of the first collection include a sleek black belt with a gold loop buckle, a chain belt with green and blue resin links, three distinctive styles of sunglasses, a woven tan leather shoulder bag, and an emerald green satchel with a striking twisted handle.
(Pro tip: Browse the storefront before your trip so you know what accessories are available at the hotel.)
Once you’ve found the perfect accessory, simply head to the front desk to sign a liability waiver and retrieve it. You can hang on to the item throughout the length of your stay—just don’t forget to return it before check-out.
If you happen to fall in love with a loaner accessory, don’t worry about squeezing it in your suitcase to take home. You can buy a brand new version from the online storefront and have it shipped directly to your door.
So far, Kimpton plans to roll out the program at 19 participating properties in major cities in the U.S. on August 1. This includes the Kimpton Eventi Hotel in New York, Kimpton Palladian Hotel in Seattle, Kimpton EPIC Hotel in Miami, Kimpton Gray Hotel in Chicago, and the Kimpton La Peer Hotel in West
