Tropical Storm Debby continued its destructive path on Tuesday morning by dumping heavy rain and high winds on the Southeast, with the storm center moving off the coast of Georgia later today.
According to CBS News, Debby is then expected to move inland over South Carolina on Thursday. Tropical storm-force winds were forecast to extend outward up to 205 miles of the center. At least five people were killed by the tropical storm.

So far on Tuesday, airlines in the United States have canceled more than 270 flights, according to FlightAware.com, as of 8 a.m. ET. Another 780 flights were delayed.

Downgraded from a hurricane, Tropical Storm Debby continues to make its way across Florida as it heads toward Georgia and South Carolina, leaving at least four people dead and a path of destruction in its wake.
According to the Associated Press, areas of coastal Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina were preparing for record-setting rain. More than 350,000 people were left without power in Florida and Georgia.

Airlines in the United States have canceled more than 1,600 flights on Monday, according to FlightAware.com, as of 3 p.m. ET. Another 4,300 flights were delayed.
American Airlines and Southwest Airlines were the carriers most impacted by the storms, while international airports in Miami, Tampa, Orlando, and Charlotte were dealing with the most cancellations.
