Recognized as the second largest international banking hub in the country, Brickell, a vibrant Miami neighborhood, is continuing to rise in popularity among investors, restaurant owners and other entrepreneurial types. High rise condominium towers with resort-style amenities, stunning bay views, sophisticated shopping, trendy restaurants and an electric city atmosphere offer a fast-paced urban environment.
Brickell was settled as a community in the mid 19th century and quickly became known as an affluent Miami neighborhood by the early 20th century. Towards the latter part of the century, office towers, hotels and high-rise apartment buildings began to change the city skyline quickly making it one of Miami’s most densely populated areas. Today Brickell boasts an active and entrepreneurial population and has become one of the most densely populated areas of Miami, giving it a metropolitan vibe, similar to a smaller New York City.
The neighborhood lies just south of Downtown Miami, connected by the Brickell Avenue Bridge that crosses over the Miami River. Although there is not direct access to the beach in Brickell, there are plenty of stunning water views from the wealth of high rises throughout the area.

Larry Korman, CEO of AKA
“Miami was always a city we envisioned for AKA and being part of the culture and vibrancy of the Brickell neighborhood these past two years has allowed us to witness how truly special it is. As we see it evolve into the next food capital and epicenter of the city, we anticipate it will further attract new businesses that want to locate here. Our hotel, Hotel AKA Brickell, which sits on a block that is buzzing with new and unique dining offerings, recently unveiled its design renovations, which included the transformed lobby and lounge and newly opened restaurant, ADRIFT Mare by Michelin-starred Chef David Myers, both located on the 25 floor. The restaurant, which is inspired by the elegance and laid-back vibe of the Mediterranean, comes alive at dusk with its light and airy design and sunset views over the water. It’s the perfect new concept that we anticipate will attract the Brickell community, office tenants at Brickell Arch, where our hotel is situated, along with our current and future guests and international visitors.”
Edgardo Defortuna, President and CEO of Fortune International Group
“Fortune International Group has played a key role in Brickell’s evolution over the last 40 years, and we have a longstanding commitment to the community and neighborhood, so we wanted to create an experience that reflects the present and the
