Princess Cruises and Brightline, the intercity rail system that connects major destinations in Central and South Florida, just announced a new partnership, which has produced the groundbreaking Rail & Sail program that’s set to revolutionize travel experiences for passengers embarking from ports in the Sunshine State.
The Rail & Sail initiative promises speedy and seamless access to Princess cruise ships departing from two major Florida homeports: Fort Lauderdale and Orlando. Princess guests who avail themselves of the opportunity will enjoy a streamlined journey characterized by luxurious comfort and convenience, significantly reducing travel time compared to conventional methods.
As part of the program, Brightline debuted a specially customized train featuring four cars that are emblazoned with Princess' iconic Love Boat branding, including its signature seawitch logo and illustrations of beloved ports of call. Princess’ branding is also being prominently displayed within Brightline's five terminals across Florida, further solidifying the team-up's visibility and impact.
In addition to streamlining transit to Princess’ ports, the Rail & Sail program offers passengers a value-added luggage express service, ensuring that passengers can take advantage of the ultimate convenience.
Guests can check their bags at the Brightline station, and then arrive on board their ship to find their luggage has been securely delivered straight to their stateroom. This hassle-free service saves valuable time and effort, allowing passengers to focus on enjoying their cruise experience to the fullest.
Princess guests can also avail themselves of special discounts of up to 15% when they book Smart and Premium Rail & Sail packages through Brightline's website. And, for a limited time, guests booking a Princess cruise through May 5 will be issued a Brightline credit of up to $150 per person (based on the stateroom type) to help cover their train journey.
"A Princess cruise is already the best value in travel, and this new partnership with Brightline makes it even easier and more enjoyable to sail with us from the top-rated ports in South and Central Florida," said John Padgett, president of Princess Cruises. "Our guests can just sit back, relax, and let us do the rest, including delivering their luggage directly to their stateroom."
"Brightline has been connecting travelers to South Florida ports since we began operations in 2018 and cruisers from the beginning have found our train to be the easiest way to start their vacation," said Patrick Goddard, president of Brightline. "Today's partnership with Princess Cruises and this train wrap with the iconic Love Boat branding is yet another example of the connection between
