Southern California’s Disneyland Resort has just released fresh details about the offerings guests can expect to see during the highly anticipated Season of the Force limited-time event, coming April 5 through June 2, 2024. The celebration of all things Star Wars universe will feature new experiences, including attraction overlays, nighttime spectaculars, character encounters, and themed food, beverages and merchandise.
This year, guests can look forward to the never-before-seen park productions and experiences, like the new nighttime spectacular “Fire of the Rising Moons” at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. On select nights, starting April 5, this unique spectacle will showcase Disneyland’s stunning fireworks display from a very different vantage point, presented alongside iconic musical selections from legendary composer John Williams’ Star Wars film scores.
Also starting April 5, the epic Tomorrowland attraction, Star Tours – The Adventures Continue, will introduce new elements inspired by popular Disney+ series, such as “Ahsoka,” “Andor,” and “The Mandalorian.” It was recently revealed that the planet Seatos will be Star Tours’ newest destination, but Star Speeder passengers might also encounter urgent transmissions from newly introduced characters like, Ahsoka Tano, Cassian Andor, and Din Djarin and Grogu.

Also new this year from Disney PhotoPass service, prospective bounty hunters can come to the outer-rim planet of Batuu at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and pose with a Magic Shot holopuck, joining the likes of Din Djarin, the Mandalorian, and his faithful foundling, Grogu. Other, returning Star Wars Magic Shots and themed Disney PhotoPass Lenses will also be available to guests who purchase the Disney Genie+ service, giving them additional opportunities to immerse themselves in a galaxy far, far away.
Regardless of whether you consider yourself a First Order loyalist or a rebel, a devotee of the dark side or the light, everyone can agree that Star Wars-themed attractions overlays are a highlight of the Season of the Force.
The fan-favorite overlay of the high-speed coaster Space Mountain, known as Hyperspace Mountain, will return to Tomorrowland for a limited time only, maintaining its residency through June 2. Guests will once again be able to board their rocket-cars and race through the cosmos, this time dodging laser blasts from some pretty terrifying TIE fighters and even soaring past a Star Destroyer along the way.
