Landal GreenParks UK, the UK’s fastest growing company offering holiday breaks in nature, has seen a 24% YoY increase in summer bookings driven by longer staycations in the Southwest region.
The self-catering holiday specialist has seen a 57% increase in 14-night stays YoY in the region, with 60% of bookings for durations of seven-nights or longer showcasing a growing trend for extended summer breaks.
It follows the addition of Landal Whalesborough Resort & Spa to the UK portfolio earlier this year, and extra capacity with brand-new lodges at Landal Bude Coastal Resort and Landal Clowance, to meet demand.
“We are delighted to see such a strong start to the summer season. It’s clear from our data that we are seeing real growth in holidaymakers looking for longer getaways during the summer period for two reasons. Guests are wanting to make the most of the time they spend with loved ones as well as use our resorts as a base to discover what the UK has to offer.” said Paul Hardingham, Managing Director of Landal GreenParks UK.
The international holiday brand has also seen a significant rise in inbound visitors for the Southwest region, with bookings up 49% for the same period, now accounting for 15% of all bookings. Visitors from the Netherlands (67%) and Germany (15%) are opting for resorts with a variety of onsite facilities.

“We’re also thrilled to attract European customers who continue to see the benefit staying with us. This is a testament to our diverse range of resorts with onsite facilities such as indoor swimming pools, restaurants and activities, providing families with weatherproof breaks, excellent value and the opportunity to explore the UK.”
Landal GreenParks has recently expanded its UK portfolio with three new resorts: Landal Whalesborough Resort & Spa in Cornwall, Landal Twin Lakes in The Lake District, and Landal Hexham Lodges in Northumberland.
