What was arguably the most shocking announcement of the night at the Walt Disney Company's D23 fan event last night in Anaheim, California, wasn't about a theme park (although there were tons of those, too).

Landal GreenParks UK, the UK’s fastest growing company offering holiday breaks in nature, has seen a 24% YoY increase in summer bookings driven by longer staycations in the Southwest region.
The self-catering holiday specialist has seen a 57% increase in 14-night stays YoY in the region, with 60% of bookings for durations of seven-nights or longer showcasing a growing trend for extended summer breaks.
It follows the addition of Landal Whalesborough Resort & Spa to the UK portfolio earlier this year, and extra capacity with brand-new lodges at Landal Bude Coastal Resort and Landal Clowance, to meet demand.
“We are delighted to see such a strong start to the summer season. It’s clear from our data that we are seeing real growth in holidaymakers looking for longer getaways during the summer period for two reasons. Guests are wanting to make the most of the time they spend with loved ones as well as use our resorts as a base to discover what the UK has to offer.” said Paul Hardingham, Managing Director of Landal GreenParks UK.
The international holiday brand has also seen a significant rise in inbound visitors for the Southwest region, with bookings up 49% for the same period, now accounting for 15% of all bookings. Visitors from the Netherlands (67%) and Germany (15%) are opting for resorts with a variety of onsite facilities.

“We’re also thrilled to attract European customers who continue to see the benefit staying with us. This is a testament to our diverse range of resorts with onsite facilities such as indoor swimming pools, restaurants and activities, providing families with weatherproof breaks, excellent value and the opportunity to explore the UK.”
Landal GreenParks has recently expanded its UK portfolio with three new resorts: Landal Whalesborough Resort & Spa in Cornwall, Landal Twin Lakes in The Lake District, and Landal Hexham Lodges in Northumberland.

If you’re an avid traveler (and even if not), you’ve probably heard the rumblings that sometime soon the 3.4 oz. TSA liquids rule is going to change. Currently, you’re not allowed to bring containers larger than 3.4 ounces (or 100 ml) of liquids, gels, or aerosols through security. Commonly referred to as the “3-1-1” rule, it traces its origins back to a failed plot in 2006 when terrorists in the U.K. tried to smuggle liquid explosives onto planes. The rules were originally intended to be temporary but nearly 20 years later remain in place.

Europe dominates in a new ranking of the world’s most beautiful cities, filling nine of the top 10 spots.
As someone who's traveled to over 40 countries, there was one thing I never checked off my travel bucket list: flying business class. I always walked past the lie-flat seats and dreamed one day I would be able to.
It was eight in the morning, and the prickly July humidity had already seeped through my skin as I hopped out of the cab in Singapore’s Little India. Greeted by the bustle of vendors setting up, I was transported back to my childhood, to days spent wandering the neighborhood with my grandmother. The aroma of fresh coriander from vibrant spice stalls spurred memories of her tangy coconut prawn curry. The musky fragrance of jasmine adorning colorful flower stalls reminded me of how she’d woven them into my braids. She never would again.
The Netherlands is famous for its capital city, Amsterdam, but the country has much more to offer visitors.
School was out, and we were in holiday mode. Buzzing with excitement, we headed to Heathrow Airport, our destination, Dallas, where my sister, husband, and three teenage daughters live.
I wouldn't be surprised if you've never heard of the airline Beond.
Earlier this year, Air France-KLM spoke out about the challenges the airline faced in reinstating flights between Europe and China to what they were pre-pandemic.
Heading off on a long car journey this weekend? Take extra care, as some of Europe’s top holiday hotspots are among the deadliest places in Europe for driving, a new study reveals.
Pantone is just like us, in the sense that they, too, are setting their intentions for the year — one filled with strength and energy. The Color of the Year for 2023 is Viva Magenta, which the company describes as powerful and empowering. “Viva Magenta is brave and fearless, and a pulsating color whose exuberance promotes a joyous and optimistic celebration… [It] revels in pure joy, encouraging experimentation and self-expression without restraint.” A year surrounded by joy and self-expression sounds like a year well spent to us.
