The “Sombor City Card” project was presented at this year’s 45th International Tourism Fair in Belgrade.
At the Belgrade Tourism Fair in 2023, Visit-Serbia.Online officially commenced its operations, presenting itself at a booth and organizing a panel titled “Online Payments in Tourism – Trends and Challenges.” Throughout 2023, the number of attractions and ticket sales for tourist destinations and events significantly increased. Destinations in Serbia like Zlatibor, Belgrade, Sremska Mitrovica, and Vojvodina provided tourists with a modern way to explore attractions through online ticket purchases.

In collaboration with the Public Policy Innovations Group of the Republic Secretariat for Public Policy, the “Museums 4 You – One Ticket, Four Museums” ticket in Belgrade was created and included in the platform’s offerings. Through a partnership with the Kolarčeva Endowment, an additional contribution to the promotion of culture and tourism was achieved by enabling online ticket purchases for concerts and events at this significant cultural, musical, and educational institution, also in Belgrade.
The project, with a team composed of tourism experts, fintech solutions, and digital technologies, worked on creating the “Sombor City Card” project. Conceived as a digital ecosystem, the “Sombor City Card” represents an integral part of the pilot project for the sustainable tourism of the city of Sombor. The “Sombor City Card” actively contributes to the development of Sombor as a tourist destination based on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations. This project was presented at this year’s 45th International Tourism Fair in Belgrade.
The goal of this digital platform is to support sustainable tourism development in Serbia, which became a member of the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) last year with the support of the United Nations Development Programme in Serbia.
The mission of Visit Online Smart Solutions, the company managing the platform, is to create synergy to enhance user experience, increase revenue, and enhance destination image through more efficient presentation and sales.
