VIVA Cruises will offer a wide selection of river cruises throughout Europe this holiday season.
Starting in November, the line will sail the Rhine, Danube, Main, Seine, Elbe and Vltava rivers in Europe, offering travelers a chance to admire twinkling lights, beautifully decorated trees and charming Christmas markets.
On the Rhine River, travelers can choose between four different itineraries that are either three, four or six nights long. Guests will be able to explore destinations like Düsseldorf, Koblenz, Bonn, Cologne, Frankfurt, Strasbourg, Mannheim, Speyer and Mainz.
The line’s newest ship, VIVA Two, will be sailing on the Danube this holiday season. Travelers will be able to visit Christmas markets in Austrian destinations such as Passau, Melk, Vienna and Linz.
Travelers looking to get off the beaten path a bit may want to sail the Main river, with departures from Frankfurt and stops in the lesser-known German towns of Wertheim, Würzburg and Miltenberg.
VIVA Gloria, meanwhile, will sail the Seine into Normandy, with stops in Les Andelys, Rouen, and Conflans, plus three days in Paris. Travelers can also cruise from Berlin to Prague on board Swiss Ruby, with stops in destinations like Magdeburg, Meissen and Dresden.
The line will also host an ambassador cruise for loyal guests this winter. Departing December 14 on VIVA Two, the cruise will sail from Passau to Vienna and back. Andrea Kruse, chief executive officer of VIVA Cruises, will be on board to meet guests. The itinerary also includes professional photo opportunities, a gala dinner and exclusive events.
