There's a credit card offering shopping and travel protections and quality earning categories, yet it has no annual fee. Plus, redemptions are easy and straightforward without requiring point transfers or complex evaluations. And it's just launched a new, elevated welcome bonus.
The Wells Fargo Autograph℠ Card (see rates and fees) earns points in popular spending categories, and other cardmember benefits provide ongoing value year after year.
Here's a look at the new welcome offer on the Wells Fargo Autograph Card.
Current welcome bonus: Earn 30,000 bonus points when you spend $1,500 or more on purchases in the first three months from account opening. Points can be redeemed with Wells Fargo Rewards at a value of 1 cent each, making this bonus worth $300.
Annual fee: $0 (see rates and fees).
Earning rate: Earn 3 points per dollar at restaurants and on takeout, catering and food delivery services; 3 points per dollar on travel, gas and transit; 3 points per dollar on eligible streaming services and phone plans; and 1 point per dollar on other purchases.
Why we like it: It's not often that you see a card with no annual fee offering the ability to earn 3 points per dollar in common spending categories without any annual limits. It's even less common to see a card doing that and offering additional benefits. The usual offer on the Autograph Card is 20,000 bonus points, so an opportunity to earn 10,000 more points is one that shouldn't be passed up.
On top of redeeming rewards for travel, statement credits or gift cards at wellsfargo.com/rewards, you'll enjoy several protections with your card. These include secondary auto rental collision damage waiver, travel and emergency services assistance, roadside dispatch and complimentary access to your FICO credit score. You'll also enjoy up to $600 of cellphone protection against damage or theft when you pay your monthly bill with the Autograph Card. Note that there is a $25 deductible per claim with a limit of two claims in a 12-month period.
Finally, the card charges no foreign currency conversion fees when you use it outside the U.S., making it a great companion for your next international getaway.

Paying rent has been a part of my life since I started living in an off-campus house in college. It was like the first big adult payment I was responsible for. I would usually pay my rent via check or online portal to the landlord or management company, and it felt like that money was disappearing into a black hole, never to be seen again.
