Shoulder season is often considered the best time to travel, but what and when is it?
The flexible period near peak times can mean more affordable getaways, fewer crowds, and a better chance at upgrades, more personalized service and more. And with remote work and a greater flexibility following 2020’s travel pause, travelers can take advantage of shoulder season travel year round, whether that means flaneuring through France on a gray February day or venturing into Vail weeks after the devoted ski crowd clears out. For example, shoulder season for Sonnenalp Hotel in Vail, Colorado falls around November and May, and demand is high in the January and February months due to ski season in the Rockies. And thanks to a strong WiFi connection and greater flexibility in working and learning remotely, shoulder

I was at the airport, and lines were building up at the entrance to the jetway. There had already been several delays and I was getting nervous. Would I miss my connection?
