If you’re a diehard pickleball fan—and you’re up for a match or two in frigid temperatures—plan a trip to Canada this winter. The world’s first-ever winter pickleball spa opens in Quebec this March for a limited time.
It’s name—the DinkDunk Pickleball Spa—nods to the famous pickleball “dink” shot and cold plunges (or “dunks”) that have been one of the biggest wellness trends at spas in recent years. The unforgettable pop-up features a festive red pickleball court nestled on a snowy expanse surrounded by pine trees for a serene frosty sports experience, all tucked away in the Canadian wilderness.
But the experience goes beyond friendly competition on the court. Guests can also get pampered in luxurious Nordic spa experiences, including full-body massages that promise to restore your pickleball elbow, an invigorating cold plunge in a riverbank, and an outdoor hot tub and sauna to get warm. After playing and plunging, you can gather around a cozy fire pit and refuel with Quebecois charcuterie and snacks.
“We’re pretty excited to introduce the DinkDunk Pickleball Spa, a place where cool dinks meet cold dunks,” said Gloria Loree, chief marketing officer at Destination Canada, in a statement.
She added: “We welcome pickleball pros, newbies, and anyone looking to try something new to visit Canada this season. From snowmobile rides to cold plunges, to enjoying ice wine in the comfort of your chalet, Canada offers the ultimate winter playground to inspire your next vacation.”
The four-day, three-night package includes accommodations at luxe Le Germain properties in Quebec for you and your pickleball partner, court time, daily breakfast, and transportation via private SUV between the airport and the spa. As a bonus, you’ll score some DinkDunk merch, like robes, slippers, and paddles.
The team on the ground can arrange rentals for any winter gear you need, so you can pack light. But you can also hit the court in your coziest spa wear—this winter wellness adventure is a judgment-free experience.
The DinkDunk Pickleball Spa will welcome travelers from March 16 to March 23, 2024. But if you want to check it out, you’ll need to make a reservation ASAP. It’s first-come, first-serve, with extremely limited availability, so don’t think twice about joining the waitlist for a reservation. A personal travel planner will get in touch with selected guests to set up the unforgettable pickleball experience beginning Feb. 1.

A Victorian favourite once billed as the ‘Queen of Welsh resorts’, Llandudno has kept much of the charm that made it so popular. The curving promenade framing Llandudno Bay, the aroma of fish and chips wafting in the air, pastel-coloured art deco houses lining the seafront and old-fashioned amusements on Llandudno Pier all combine to deliver a quintessential British seaside break. The town also serves as gateway to a wealth of natural attractions in Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park and water-based adventures in Colwyn Bay. And a stay in Llandudno can be combined with a trip to Conwy, across the river of the same name, which has a mighty castle and Britain’s smallest house.
