Holland America Line has just announced it will be expanding its industry-leading global fresh fish program by partnering with Vital Choice—the trusted source for wild-caught fish and seafood. The unique collaboration means that home cooks will have the chance to enjoy the exact same fresh fish and seafood recipes they enjoyed at sea—in their own kitchen.
“Holland America Line and Vital Choice share the belief that fish should taste great and be sustainably sourced, making this an ideal collaboration for our guests and Vital Choice customers,” said Michael Stendebach, vice president of food, beverage and guest services for Holland America Line, in a press release.
“Our team of chefs developed recipes that perfectly highlight the varieties of fish we will serve in Lido Market and are featured in the Vital Choice catalogue, and we look forward to debuting the dishes on board.”
There will be a total of three fish varieties online that have been curated to easily be prepared with a Holland America Line recipe at home. The Wild Alaska Halibut, Wild Pacific King Salmon, and Wild Chilean Sea Bass will also be available onboard ships sailing in the Caribbean or Alaska.
“With Holland America Line, and through exceptional cuisine, we're furthering our vision to inspire more expression, connection, and celebration,” said Joseph Rowland, group president, Gourmet Foods & Gift Baskets.
“By uniting our dedication to high-quality, sustainably sourced fish and innovative recipes, we're fostering connections and creating memorable culinary experiences for all to enjoy, whether they're cruising or savoring at home.”
The Wild Alaska Halibut, Wild Pacific King Salmon and Wild Chilean Sea Bass will all be available for purchase in different weights and portions. Recipes used on board will also be available on VitalChoice.com so home chefs will have no trouble bringing the flavors of vacation home.

Seeking a real thrill, they opted instead for a country—and in Garrett’s case, a continent—they’d never seen before their nuptials.
