Alaska Airlines is celebrating more than three decades of flying to Mexico with a 3-day sale that has flights starting at just $99.
The sale, which must be booked by 11:59 p.m. PT on Nov. 16, is available for travel to popular destinations like Puerto Vallarta, Los Cabos, Cancun, and more, Alaska Airlines shared with Travel + Leisure. The sale is available for travel from Nov. 29 through March 13, 2024.
“For 35 years, Alaska Airlines has connected travelers to the rich culture and natural beauty of Mexico,” Kirsten Amrine, the VP of revenue management and network planning at Alaska Airlines, told T+L. “What began with one flight from San Francisco to Mazatlan in 1988 has grown into a robust network of routes reaching eight destinations across Mexico, from the beautiful beaches of Cancun to the vibrant nightlife of Puerto Vallarta. Whether you’re traveling to Mexico for a dream vacation, reconnecting with family or traveling for business, we’re honored to be part of your journey.”
Travel from Los Angeles to Loreto or Los Cabos starting at just $99 one-way, or from San Jose to Puerta Vallarta also starting at $99 one-way. Or fly from San Diego to Cancun, from San Diego to Los Cabos, from San Francisco to Puerto Vallarta, and more starting at just $119 one-way.
The exact travel period and days of the week the sale is valid varies by destination and origin city.
In total, Alaska Airlines flies to eight different destinations in Mexico: Cabo San Lucas, Cancun, Guadalajara, Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo, Loreto, Manzanillo, Mazatlan, and Puerto Vallarta. That is in addition to other international destinations like Costa Rica, Nassau, Bahamas, and Belize City.
The sale comes a day after the airline announced a brand-new route daily between Nashville and Portland, OR. That flight will launch in March 2024. Next year, the airline will also launch a direct seasonal flight from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport to Anchorage, AK, marking the only direct route from the Big Apple hub to Anchorage.
For frequent travelers, Alaska also offers a flight subscription pass, which the airline first launched last year and has since expanded. The pass allows travelers to book six, 12, or 24 roundtrip flights per year at a fixed monthly rate.
