From the islands of Indonesia to the skyscrapers of Singapore, these are the hot new hotels in Asia to bookmark for your next trip.
Opening at the end of March, Ta’aktana, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Labuan Bajo will be situated on the western side of East Nusa Tenggara Province in Indonesia. Made up of overwater villas, the hotel will make an excellent base for exploring the Komodo National Park, famed for the indigenous Komodo dragons and located on a nearby island.
From the renowned Aman brand, Janu Tokyo arrives in Japan in March 2024, in the newly developed Azabudai Hills area, which houses Japan’s tallest building. This new hotspot will include 122 rooms and eight dining spots, plus a wellness centre that will span over 40,000 square feet.
The Kimpton Hong Kong is coming to Hong Kong in July 2024. With 492 rooms set across a 42-floor building with a rooftop infinity pool, this new hotel will have views over Victoria Harbour and a sleek, stylish look.
The 123-year-old Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi is not a new hotel; however, it just reopened its historic Heritage Wing after a 21-month renovation. The newly revealed Metropole Heritage Wing features 103 refreshed rooms with an old-world aesthetic true to its history.

Umana Bali, LXR Hotels & Resorts opened in Bali, Indonesia in January 2024 with cliff-top vistas and direct access to Melasti Beach on the island’s southernmost tip of Ungasan. The 72 villas each have a private infinity pool and hot tub.
The 81-room Six Senses Kyoto is coming to Japan’s Higashiyama area in April 2024. This modern and minimalist new hotel will be within walking distance of the Myoho-in Temple; the Toyokuni-Jinja Shrine; and the popular Gion district.
Gran Meliaì Nha Trang, which opened in late December 2023, has 94 villas and three restaurants (one featuring local Vietnamese fare, while the others serve Japanese and Spanish cuisines). The new hotel is located on a private bay in Nha Trang with views over the lush green Cô Tiên Mountain.
