The iconic Bellagio Resort & Casino has this week announced it will be opening a brand-new cocktail and jazz lounge in collaboration with musician Bruno Mars. The two icons in hospitality and entertainment will reportedly launch The Pinky Ring cocktail lounge and jazz bar in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip early next year.
The cocktail bar will be located on the Bellagio’s casino floor in the former Lily Bar & Lounge space.
“I’ve been performing in Vegas for years, and I’ve always wanted a place where I could throw glamorous parties when I’m in town. A place that felt like my personal penthouse suite, with live music and sensational cocktails. The Pinky Ring is that,” Bruno Mars said in a press release.
The new cocktail and jazz destination is set to feature moody lighting, live music, DJs spinning vinyl, and a specialty bar program for discerning cocktail fans. It will also feature best-in-class audio designed to rival the best audiophile-focused bars in the country.
“There's nobody in the world as fabulous as Bruno Mars. It’s been a fun experience to let him take the reins to reimagine this space. From the carpet to the ceiling, this is all him,” added Ari Kastrati, MGM Resorts International’s’ Chief Hospitality Officer.
“As we celebrate Bellagio’s 25th anniversary this year and look toward the future, collaborating with one of the entertainment industry’s biggest stars to reimagine what a night out in Las Vegas should be, represents an incredible moment in this resort’s story.”
The Pinky Ring is set to open in early 2024 and is anticipated to set the stage for much more collaborative and innovative offerings to come from the Bellagio Resort & Casino.

For most New Yorkers, Times Square is a place to be avoided at all times—especially and unequivocally on New Year’s Eve. The Ball Drop looks fun and exciting when watched from the warmth and privacy of your couch but in real life, it looks like a million people packed between police barricades and squished up against each other in the cold for way too many hours, waiting for a 10-second countdown. And there are no public restrooms.

You’re standing in a darkened Roman ruin, with your arms extended, chanting, and heart pacing. As you look to your right and your left, the profiles of those surrounding you are lit solely by the glow of a futuristic blue “S” beaming from headphones that are directing them about what to think, how to move, and what to feel. No, this isn’t a post-apocalyptic scene; it’s post-blasé wellness—Sanctum, to be exact—come to rescue a sea of sameness in the United States in partnership with Auberge Resorts next year.

In September New York City introduced stringent restrictions on short-term rentals leading to news very quickly that Airbnb bookings in the city had “dried up”. And this is by no means new, cities like Barcelona and Berlin already have strict restrictions on short-term rental properties, requiring hosts to obtain a licence to operate.
I just wrote about a game changing new golf resort that debuted on Barbados last month, and for travelers looking for new and different options for warm weather getaways this winter–whether they play golf or not–I’ve got an interesting one.
