If you’re looking for yet another reason to cross the Atlantic, WOW Air just gave you one: The Icelandic-based airline is expanding low transatlantic fares and “second city” air routes.
Cheap Transatlantic Fares from WOW AirWOW Air currently offers flights to Montreal, Washington, D.C., Toronto, Boston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Miami, and New York from various European cities. And just last week Pittsburgh was added to the list, with flights starting in June 2017 from London (Gatwick) and Edinburgh via Reykjavik. Now according to TravelMole.com, Skuli Mogensen, founder and CEO of the airline, said WOW Air is “looking to add services linking to smaller, secondary cities, on both sides of the Atlantic.”
And while these new projected destinations have not been made public, this is great news for many U.S. cities. These new routes will provide access to Europe in cities where budget transatlantic airlines don’t currently operate, plus they’ll drive up fare competition.
So, stay tuned for what destinations WOW Air will add next. To see a full list of its current destinations, visit WOW Air’s website and check out its current $99+ O/W Europe Fare Sale.
