Clear is now a TSA PreCheck enrollment partner.
The biometrics company, which offers expedited security screening at 70 airports, has begun PreCheck enrollment in Orlando, Sacramento and Newark airports. More airports are to be added over time, TSA said.
With the addition of Clear, TSA now works with three private vendors on PreCheck enrollment. The other two are Idemia and Telos.
Idemia is by far the largest of those partners, with more than 620 PreCheck enrollment centers nationwide. Telos has 26 active locations, according to the PreCheck website.
Current PreCheck members can renew online with any of the three private vendors, regardless of which company did the original enrollment.
TSA PreCheck currently has more than 19 million members. A five-year enrollment costs $77.95 at a Clear center, $78 at an Idemia center and $85 at a Telos center.
At Clear enrollment centers, flyers can bundle PreCheck enrollment with a one-year membership in the expedited Clear Plus screening program for $199.95, which amounts to a $67 discount for Clear Plus.
