Disney World Unveils Details for 2024 Winter Holiday Celebrations

As a Disney World annual passholder, I've been lucky enough to stay at every hotel on the property.

I live a couple of minutes from Disney World and visit the parks about four times a week. Although I enjoy the attractions and entertainment, one of my favorite things to do on the property is eat. 

Walt Disney World will allow guests to make ride reservations a week in advance — but there's a catch.

World Ski Awards – the only global initiative programme to recognise, reward and celebrate excellence in ski tourism – has opened the race for votes for its 2024 programme. A wealth of new entries feature this year, the 12th annual edition, reflecting the momentum of the global ski industry. Voting is now open and runs for 16 weeks, ending on 11 October. Ski industry professionals, the media, and ski consumers from around the world are invited to cast their votes to decide which ski organisations are this year’s leaders in their respective fields.

The British Airways and British Airways Holidays summer sale has launched to brighten the mood and lift dampened spirits, forecasting blue skies and sandy toes for all those who book.

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) announced that it broke the record for most people screened on a single day, screening nearly three million (2.99 million) individuals on Sunday, June 23.

Delta Air Lines will fly its largest selection of flights from Minneapolis-Saint Paul (MSP) to the Caribbean and in Latin America this winter, with new routes to Aruba and St. Maarten, as well as expanded service to popular destinations including Grand Cayman and San Juan, Puerto Rico. 

Delta Air Lines announced it would launch a new seasonal service between Orlando International Airport and London Heathrow Airport (LHR), starting on October 26.

The Indiana Sports Corp. announced a new partnership with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) that will bring the latter’s three biggest events—Royal Rumble, SummerSlam and WrestleMania—to Indianapolis over the coming years.

While I am, admittedly, biased as a lover of the city, the best time to visit Lisbon is really any time. The Portuguese capital is a hybrid of activity at all times, with warm temperatures outside even in the winter months, and a seemingly endless list of great hotels and restaurants to visit no matter what month you arrive. Plus, Portuguese warmth and hospitality is a year-round thing, so you can expect a sunny welcome whether it’s July or January.

As an Orlando local and former Disney World employee, I visit the parks at least once a week.

Disney World made history in April by earning the first and only Michelin star for a restaurant owned and operated by a US theme park.
