The Indiana Sports Corp. announced a new partnership with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) that will bring the latter’s three biggest events—Royal Rumble, SummerSlam and WrestleMania—to Indianapolis over the coming years.
According to The Associated Press, the two companies announced on Monday that WWE’s Royal Rumble premium live event will be held on February 1, 2025, at Lucas Oil Stadium.
In future years, Indianapolis and Lucas Oil Stadium will host a two-night SummerSlam and two-night WrestleMania. WWE officials said the economic impact of the three shows would exceed $300 million for the region.
“For over four decades, our city’s sports strategy has brought in millions of visitors and priceless hours of international brand-building media coverage,” Indiana Sports Corp. President Patrick Talty said. “This partnership with WWE continues to push that strategy forward in new and exciting ways.”
In addition to the three cornerstone events, WWE will also bring its television shows to Indiana, including Raw, Smackdown and NXT, as well as WWE live events taking place at arenas in surrounding locations, such as Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, and Evansville.
Since being founded in 1979, Indiana Sports Corp. has hosted more than 500 national and international sporting events—including Super Bowl XLVI—and contributed more than $4 billion in direct spending in local communities.

At first sight, Aktau was brutalist, if only architecturally, but it was far from rough or suspicious.
