Brightline, the Florida rail line with stops throughout the state, is now selling tickets for its highly anticipated Orlando extension.
The new station will be at the Orlando International Airport and connects to Miami, Aventura, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, and West Palm Beach, the rail company shared with Travel + Leisure on Wednesday. Service will be available starting Sept. 22 and is available to book now.
“Opening Orlando fulfills our ultimate business model. We have seen incredible enthusiasm from the business and tourism industries eager to travel between Central and South Florida,” Patrick Goddard, president of Brightline, shared in a statement. “As we start service to Orlando for peak holiday seasons, I encourage everyone to check calendars, make plans, visit our website or app and reserve a seat now.”

One-way Smart fares — the lower of Brightline’s two service classes, but still a business-class equivalent — start at $79 for adults and $39 for kids, while one-way Premium fares, it's first-class offering, start at $149. Groups of 4 will also save 25 percent when booking.
Premium tickets include a dedicated lounge at the departure station as well as priority boarding, checked luggage, and complimentary snacks and beverages, but both classes offer service in Brightline’s fleet of colorful, modern, high-tech trains with free Starlink WiFi and power and USB outlets at every hand-stitched leather seat.
While the two- to four-hour drive between South Florida and Orlando would cost less in gas (or EV charging), for many travelers, the time, logistical planning, and rental car hassles saved from opting to take the Brightline instead of driving will justify the price.
Brightline also offers numerous promotions for business travelers and students.
Tickets are available for purchase at gobrightline.com or on the Brightline app.
