Florida’s beloved high-speed rail line, Brightline, is celebrating the one-year anniversary of their Orlando extension with a week of exclusive deals for email subscribers.
And today’s surprise deal is nothing short of exciting as the rail company is offering 50 percent off Smart and Smart Saver adult fares between South Florida and Orlando. The offer is valid until 11:59 p.m. tonight.
Brightline currently connects Orlando to West Palm Beach, Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale, Aventura, and Miami, with plans to add stops in Stuart, Cocoa Beach, and possibly even Tampa one day.
This week’s 24-hour surprise deals have already included discounted fares and buy-one-get-one offers.
Note that deals are only valid for rides from Sept. 16 through Nov. 16, 2024, the perfect excuse for a fall getaway or quick day trip — Halloween at Disney, anyone?
While you can’t put a price on the convenient, luxurious experience of bypassing standstill traffic while sipping a cocktail, eating a snack, and getting some work done on your laptop, Brightline ticket prices can get steep, especially during high-demand periods. So this week, travelers should leap at the chance to book Brightline rides at a fraction of the usual cost.
While the week of surprise deals for email subscribers ends on Sept. 7, Brightline' anniversary celebration will continue through Sept. 22 with in-station activations and other fanfare — and the promise of more excitement to come over the next year of service.

There are two types of train trip: The long, slow, and often luxurious train journey that takes you through beautiful scenery that you book specifically to spend time on the rails; and the speedy, no-nonsense, cheap train ride you take to get from point A to point B as quickly as possible. In the first category, you’ll find grand trips like Australia’s The Ghan, South Africa’s Blue Train, and Britain’s Caledonian Sleeper. In the second, there are trips from London to Brussels in just two hours, from Rome to Venice in four hours, and from Miami to Orlando in three hours. And if you’re a train traveler who belongs to the second category and likes getting places fast without flying, there are plenty of trains in this world that do just that at speeds previously unimaginable on land, including the fastest train in the world and its closest competitors.
When you board Amtrak’s Auto Train, you’re doing something unique that happens on no other train within the Amtrak system. First of all, you and your vehicle (car, motorcycle, van, small trailer, or SUV if it meets the measurement limits) must both be on board. You can’t go without it and it can’t go without you.

A great flight deal is as easy as a click away. Allegiant Airlines recently published dozens of last minute flight deals with fares under $50 to popular destinations including Las Vegas, Orlando, Phoenix, and more. The flights have availability throughout September and October, which can be helpful for passengers making last-minute bookings, which can often be very expensive as the flight’s departure date becomes closer. The deals are posted on Allegiant’s website, and listed as limited quantities. For example, travelers can fly from Knoxville to Punta Gorda / Ft. Myers for only $33 one-way, or from Las Vegas to Provo, Utah for $38 one-way. All of the last-minute fares are in Allegiant's «Basic» category of service, which only includes one personal item. Travelers can add on checked bag, or carry-on bag for additional fees. Travel + Leisure spotted additional one-way flights including:
