Mexico's Airlines Can Resume U.S. Growth Following Safety Upgrade

Since last summer, I've spent over one hundred hours crisscrossing the globe on a variety of different international airlines.

Alaska Airlines will expand its presence in San Diego next year, adding a new flight from the Southern California city to Atlanta.

With its proximity to the United States, an abundance of affordable cities and its appealing lifestyle (rich culture, an increasingly exciting food scene), it’s no wonder Mexico has one of the largest expat populations in the world. More than 1.6 million American citizens living in Mexico—and the numbers have been surging.

Soho House has officially opened its first location in Latin America. The exclusive, members-only club recently opened in the heart of Colonia Juárez in a restored historic casa, Soho House Mexico City, focuses on the historic French and baroque heritage of the building. The restaurant will be a major culinary destination in the area with Three-Michelin Starred and James Beard Award recipient Chef Christopher Kostow.

Every time I go back to Mexico City, the city where I was born, I think of staying. There are so many dishes to try, and not enough nights to dance, drink or eat an elote (corn on the cob) on a street corner.

Traveling by train through the US, Canada, and Europe, sailing through the Caribbean Sea on the largest cruise ship in the world, and taking long-haul flights from the Pacific to the Atlantic — I've done it all by myself.
