Norwegian Cruise Line executives are optimistic about demand returning to the Middle East region in 2024 after cutting some trips in response to the Israel-Hamas war.

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings doesn’t expect expect to see his a slowdown in its revenue, executives said Wednesday.

Despite a recent surge in cruise popularity, the number of new cruise ships under construction is set to taper off after 2024. However, one company plans to keep building them and has indicated lines will likely follow suit.

Calling 2023 a landmark year for Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, CEO Harry Sommer said the company had its first full-year profit since 2019.

Although Norwegian Cruise Line has cut trips to the Middle East this year due to the ongoing Israel-Hamas war, the company is seeing strong demand for trips to other regions — in particular, the Caribbean.

Norwegian Viva is the newest vessel of Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), and the second ship in its award-winning Prima Class. Following its debut this past August and its inaugural summer season of European voyages, the ship hosted over 1,500 guests at the ceremony held in the Company’s LEED® Gold Certified terminal at PortMiami.
