Whether you’re planning a trip to Disney, next year’s spring break, or just a lovely vacation in tropical Florida, think about leaving the car at home to try out Brightline, Florida’s high-speed train service. Launched in 2018, this rail service that’s easily recognizable thanks to its bright yellow trains (hence the name), takes you from Miami to Orlando via the west coast of Florida in style, comfort, and record time.
Currently, Brightline operates in South Florida, from Miami to West Palm Beach. Starting September 1, 2023, the service will extend to Orlando (tickets are now available for purchase). Brightline is also working to expand its service to Tampa in the near future.
While Brightline Florida is the operator’s rail system in the Sunshine State, Brightline is developing its second system that will run between Las Vegas and Southern California: Brightline West.
From Miami, Brightline trains run every hour (sometimes even twice within the hour), with the first train leaving just after 7 AM and the last train leaving just before 12 midnight. On Saturday, a Midnight Train that leaves after 12 midnight is available.
From West Palm Beach, Brightline trains run every hour (sometimes even twice within the hour), with the first train leaving around 5:30 AM and the last train leaving just around 9:30 PM. On Saturday, there is one later train that leaves West Palm Beach around 10:30 PM.
The price of riding the Brightline train between Miami and West palm Beach starts at $10, but it varies according to the demand on your dates of travel and the class of service you opt for.
There are two classes of service on Brightline trains:

Brightline will start its operation from Miami to Orlando on September 1, 2023. The Orlando train station is open and ready to welcome passengers, and tickets are now available for purchase.
Non-stop Brightline trains between Miami to Orlando will take two hours and fifty-nine minutes, while those going straight from West Palm Beach to Orlando will take two hours. Brightline trains that stop in train stations in between

Of the half million annual visitors to the Edinburgh International Festival (running from 4-28 August this year), the vast majority don’t leave the city. Which is understandable given the cultural smörgåsbord on offer, and that it takes place in (arguably) the UK’s most attractive city. But it’s also a wasted opportunity given that this is the capital of one of the most beautiful countries in the world, with a wealth of stunning scenery on its doorstep.
This morning’s non-binding letter of intent by Wheels Up Experience to sell its aircraft management business to Airshare could serve both parties well, say industry insiders.
A Carnival cruise ship rescued a couple from a sailboat stranded near the Bahamas early Monday morning, a spokesperson for the cruise line told Insider.
In a country full of hidden gems, it is hard to choose one. But I would highly recommend taking a trip to the south-east of Turkey – “cradle of civilisation” territory – and on the road between Gaziantep and Şanlıurfa, turn off near Yukarıincirli and head 17 miles north to Halfeti for a boat tour of the mighty Euphrates. This region was hit hard by the recent earthquake, but that gives added reasons to visit: a morale boost to the locals, and some help for their struggling economy. On that cruise you’ll get a chance to see the remarkable submerged city of Old Halfeti, as well as the ancient fortress of Rumkale and, if you’re lucky, a karagül, the black rose that is indigenous to this region.Umair
Brits have an interesting vernacular that includes words and phrases that might confuse many Americans.
How, you ask? Apparently thieves figure that tourists typically are (1) likely to be carrying more valuable stuff in their cars than typical locals; (2) once parked, likely to leave their cars unattended for extended time periods; (3) less likely to know local “avoid” spots; (4) more likely to be conned into doing something stupid; and (5) likely to want to keep to their schedules and leave an area rather than stick around to file police reports, ID perps, or testify at hearings or trials. And a rental car is a high-probability sign of a tourist.
If you’re packing coffee, spices, baby powder, or anything else that could be considered to be a “powder-like substance” in your carry-on, you’ll need to keep it to 12 ounces or less or be subjected to additional screening, according to a new rule from the TSA.

With a travel insurance policy (and any other kind of insurance coverage) the devil is in the details—more specifically, the fine print. And one word can make a huge difference in your risk coverage: “unforeseen.”
It’s taken longer than anyone expected thanks to lots of FAA red tape and a 35-day government shutdown, but Southwest has finally started selling flights from the West Coast to Hawaii. Here are the Hawaii flight route details so far, and what it all means.
