It's a season of savings for travelers. Spirit Airlines just published dozens of one-way flight deals under $25, including flights to popular destinations including Atlanta, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New York City, and more. The discount carrier published the offers in the «Popular Flight Deals on Spirit» section of their website, and the fares are available in limited supply with no published end date. All of the fares are in Spirit's «Go» class of service, which only includes one personal item and does not include carry-on or checked bag included in the price. Passengers can add these amenities for an additional cost, or upgrade to a higher fare class where the bags and advanced seat assignment are included. The Scenic Drive at Nevada's Red Rock Canyon will now require reservations.
Just 15 miles west of Las Vegas, the popular area — which Travel + Leisure has deemed as a «dupe» for Sedona Arizona — is bringing back its reservation system for the popular 13-miles drive within the canyon. A reservation system was initially implemented in 2020.
From now through May of next year reservations for the Scenic Drive will be required from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m and can be made directly on the official website at Recreation.gov. Timed entry tickets are released for at least 30 days in advance, and the current calendar shows wide availability for the "Scenic Drive 1-Day Personal Vehicle Entry Pass".
The cost for a personal vehicle is $20, and a motorcycle or scooter is $10. All reservations are subject to a $2 per ticket fee, that is non-refundable.
Those without a reservation are encouraged to arrive around 6 a.m., local news outlet 8 News Now advised.
Visitors are also instructed to have a printed or digital copy of their reservation which will be scanned upon entry before heading into the Scenic Drive.
Additionally, Red Rock Canyon is filled with over 2 dozen hikes and trails including the 2.4 mile Calico Tanks Trail, and the 4.6 mile Turtlehead Peak Trail, according to AllTrails.
Additional passes are available for the Red Rock Canyon Backcountry, as well as the Red Spring Picnic Area, which is great for family gatherings and social groups.
The Red Rock Canyon Visitor's Center provided helpful information about the reservation requirement, including that parking lots tend to fill up early on weekends, holidays, and fee free days, and that 10 a.m.-2 p.m. is an extremely busy time for the parking lot, therefore it may be helpful to get an early start.

Southwest Announces New Nashville Routes and More Red-eye Flights for 2025
Southwest Airlines is extending its flight schedule into early next summer and introducing new destinations from its Nashville hub. The airline, which usually releases its schedule eight months in advance, has just released its booking calendar through June 4, 2025, announced Wednesday. With the schedule update, the carrier has announced several key updates across its network. For starters, the carrier will expand significantly out of Nashville International Airport (BNA), which has been one of Southwest's fastest-growing hubs and newest crew bases. Starting April 8, 2025, the carrier will begin daily service from Nashville to Albuquerque, Jackson, and Tulsa; as well as up to 6x weekly flights to Providence and up to 5x weekly flights to Albany. In addition, the airline will offer “intra-Tennessee service for the first time” with its brand-new, once-daily service from Nashville to Memphis. “The new flights will boost Southwest’s scheduled presence in Nashville to an all-time high of 174 Sunday departures in April and May 2025,” the airline wrote in a statement. The new route announcement comes as the airline is undergoing notable changes, as Southwest will introduce its first-ever overnight flights to its network next February. With today’s announcement, the airline shared a few more routes that will see redeye service — flights from Honolulu to Las Vegas and Phoenix, Kona to Las Vegas, and Maui to Las Vegas and Phoenix will be offered as red-eyes starting April 8, 2025.
