BermudAir, a Bermuda-based airline, will soon be boarding in Baltimore and Orlando is having a flight sale to celebrate.
Starting March 18, BermudAir, which launched last year, will begin servicing travelers from Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI), bringing them directly to the island. Shortly after, on March 26, visitors will be able to catch direct flights to Bermuda from Orlando International Airport (MCO).
To get a jump on a flight to paradise, the airline is offering one-way fares from the U.S. starting at $99 and one-way fares from Bermuda starting at $199 until Jan 31. Travel must take place between February 1 and June 30, 2024.
Flights will be available on Monday, Thursday and Saturday from Bermuda to BWI; MCO flights will run Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.
“We’re satisfied with the overall performance on our existing routes and anticipate that the addition of these new routes will support our continued growth,” Adam Scott, founder and CEO, told Travel + Leisure exclusively. “This expansion demonstrates our dedication to meeting our passengers' needs and strategically enhancing our service offerings, based on continual market feedback and evaluation. It's a significant step that elevates BermudAir to new levels of service and reach.”
According to a press release shared withT+L, BermudAir will operate Embraer E175 aircraft on the routes, featuring a dual-class cabin, with 14 seats in a business cabin and 52 seats in an economy cabin. BermudAir notes that both cabins strive for superior customer service, while complimentary food and beverage service (inclusive of alcohol) is available for travelers.
In the fall, the airline made a strategic shift away from the all business-class model it first introduced, announcing that it would debut Aisle Class. Scott told Travel + Leisure exclusively that while outfitting aircrafts to this model has stalled a bit, BermudAir is expecting to be able to offer this to passengers this year.
“While ongoing supply chain challenges continue, we anticipate our Aisle Class will be introduced in 2024," he said. «It will be integrated into the aircraft serving these new destinations, and our existing routes. This will further enhance BermudAir’s commitment to exceptional in-flight comfort and convenience.»
BermudAir already runs flights from Westchester County Airport (HPN), Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport (FLL).
In addition to these new routes, the company has also launched cargo service on its route between Bermuda and Boston, noting that cargo service from its Westchester and Fort Lauderdale routes will be added shortly.
