Spirit Airlines is launching a brand-new way of doing business with a whole set of updated fare classes, and is celebrating by giving away a pair of roundtrip flights to lucky winners and their guests.
The giveaway will allow the winners to experience Spirit’s new more inclusive fare classes, Go Big and Go Comfy, the airline shared with Travel + Leisure. Travelers within the United States can enter to win online through Sept. 23 by sharing their email address and preferred departure airport.
«The transformation of Spirit's Guest experience is a significant milestone for us that brings exceptional value to travelers, and we're excited to include our Guests in the celebration with this new flight giveaway,» Rana Ghosh, the senior vice president and chief transformation officer at Spirit Airlines, said in a statement. «The winners will have a chance to experience the benefits of our new premium offerings that provide more comfort and value than ever before.»
As part of its revamp, Spirit now offers several new fare options, including its base-level fare, “Go,” which is the most economical and closest to the airline’s original offering; “Go Savvy,” which includes one carry-on or checked bag and standard seat selection at booking; “Go Comfy,” which includes a guaranteed blocked middle seat, a carry-on and checked bag, priority boarding, a snack, and a non-alcoholic beverage; and “Go Big,” which includes Spirit’s Big Front seat, free snacks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, a carry-on and checked bag, priority check-in and boarding, and free Wi-Fi.
The lucky grand prize winner will receive a pair of roundtrip Go Big tickets, while the runner-up will receive a pair of roundtrip Go Comfy tickets.
Winners will be notified by email and must accept the prize within a week of that notification. Winners must then fly within one year and book their trip at least 30 days in advance.
In addition to changing its fare categories, Spirit has also done away with most change and cancellation fees.
