Colorado’s culinary scene is officially on the Michelin map: Five restaurants have earned Michelin stars and dozens more garnered recommendations from the esteemed guide.
On Tuesday, Colorado officially became the eighth North America Michelin Guide destination, joining New York City, Chicago, Washington, D.C., California, Florida, Toronto and Vancouver. Atlanta is up next.
In Colorado, the night’s biggest Michelin winner was Id Est, the hospitality group that’s led by Chef Kelly Whitaker and that’s behind Bruto in Denverand The Wolf’s Tailor. Bruto, a 15-seat chef’s counter with an omakase-style Latin cuisine and The Wolf’s Tailor, a restaurant where menus rotate with the seasons, each earned one Michelin star plus the Michelin green star, which honors sustainable restaurants.
The Wolf’s Tailor—which serves seasonal cocktails (think: a fermented cocktail with local honey crowned with an heirloom tomato foam)—also took home the exceptional cocktails award presented by Basil Hayden.
During the past year, Michelin guide inspectors have been anonymously dining in culinary hot spots throughout the state, including Denver, Boulder, Beaver Creek, Vail, Aspen, and Snowmass. Earlier this month, the guide announced nine “Bib Gourmand” establishments—places where you can get a great meal at a moderate price.
Ahead, a complete list of Colorado restaurants that have newly minted Michelin accolades.
Colorado officially has Michelin star restaurants. While no restaurant in the state achieved two or three-star status, five restaurants achieved one star status.
Colorado one-star Michelin restaurants are:
From Bramble and Hare’s organic 70-acre farm that grows 250 varieties of vegetables, herbs and grain to Bruto’s fermentation program that creates umami-based ingredients, Michelin also recognized Denver and Boulder restaurants with green stars.
Here are the Colorado restaurants that received Michelin green stars:

The 32nd annual Colorado Mountain Winefest took place this month in Palisade, Colorado, and with it came a showcase of just how far Colorado wine has come.
For years now, there have been attempts to place the city of Venice on UNESCO’s list of endangered World Heritage sites. On one hand, it would bring more attention to the fact that climate change and mass tourism continue to threaten the city. On the other, it could deter travelers, something local government fears since Venice’s economy depends almost exclusively on tourism. Most recently, even though a UNESCO world heritage advisory body recommended Venice be placed on that list, a committee of representatives from 21 countries voted against it.
As bellhops grabbed my bags, a valet driver swiped my car keys, and a receptionist handed me a key to my room at The Little Nell, a five-star hotel in Aspen, Colorado, I was already feeling the pressure of time.
Traveling through Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) just got a major luxury boost.
Somehow, the baby I used to Björn to my chest and tote around trips to Hawaii and Colorado is now a 6'2" man with beverage preferences reclining his seat on a cross-country flight to college in Oregon. I chose to spend our pre-campus nights in the decidedly un-stuffy Jupiter Next in Portland’s Central Eastside district for its fun vending machine (get a mystery bag for $10!), chill communal outdoor balconies with views of Mount Hood, and proximity to food vendors with delicious local eats. I packed for five days, anticipating much walking, hydrating, and chowing down. Oh, and lugging books into my son’s dorm room. Read on for a peek into my packing list for Portland, Oregon.
With its endless blue skies and hiking, climbing and exploring galore, Colorado is a wonderful place to introduce the kiddos to the great outdoors.
The best time to visit Colorado depends on how you want to spend your time in the Centennial State. From world-class skiing and snowboarding in the winter to picturesque hiking and mountain biking in the summer, Colorado is all about outdoor recreation, which is largely seasonal and weather-dependent.
Colorado is a large, geographically diverse state that’s best explored by car.
Famous for its fresh mountain air, Colorado is a place to get high – in more ways than one. The mighty spine of the Rocky Mountains cuts through the west of the Centennial State, lifting the landscape up into a rugged tumult of towering mountains, high desert mesa and slot canyons.
Colorado is justly famous for its breathtaking landscapes: mountain vistas, sun-drenched plains, red rock mesas and high deserts. All of which look especially fetching through a windshield.
Colorado is one of those places that appear on just about everyone’s bucket list, and for good reason.
