The Bahamas’ Atlantis Paradise Island this week completed a $150 million resort-wide renovation under which the sprawling mega-resort’s Atlantis Casino, guestrooms, restaurants and lounges all received upgrades, said Atlantic officials.
Guest rooms at The Royal, Atlantis’ familiar tower complex, were also refashioned during the renovation, and Paranza, a new restaurant at The Cove featuring cuisine curated by Michelin-starred chef Michael White, was also added.
Other additions include Bar Sol, private gaming in Clieto’s, indoor/outdoor dining at Silan, a Mediterranean-inspired restaurant whose cuisine pays homage to Chef Alon Shaya’s Israeli heritage with a nod to Bahamian flavors.
Also new are a Shake Shack outlet, billed as the Caribbean’s first, casual restaurant Field Trip plus a Cartier jewelry outlet.
Murals throughout the Atlantis Casino have been restored while nearby light features have been updated to give the spaces a modern, yet classic feel incorporating Atlantis’ signature design elements.
The Atlantis Casino’s ceilings, previously covered by canopies, are now open, creating a more spacious and airier atmosphere with a clear view of the entire facility.
“Atlantis continuously elevates the guest experience, and recent developments at The Royal, Paranza and the Atlantis Casino provide guests with upgraded, modern touches while retaining the resort’s integral identity that visitors know and love,” said Audrey Oswell, Atlantis’ president and managing director.
“Atlantis’ experiential-driven programming allows our guests and visitors to create lifelong memories while visiting the resort and the Bahamas,” Oswell said.
