Chase Sapphire cardholders: Earn up to 10 points per dollar with Peloton

If you're looking to step up your fitness game, you might be able to a boost in how many points you'll earn while doing so.

Cardholders used to enjoy statement credits and bonus earnings for Peloton purchases on the Chase Sapphire Reserve® and Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card. While the membership credits haven't returned, the bonus earnings are still here.

Here's how you can earn up to 10 points per dollar on Peloton purchases.

From October 2020 to June 2022, you could receive statement credits for your monthly Peloton membership when paying with the Sapphire Preferred or Sapphire Reserve card. Plus, you could earn bonus points on equipment purchases.

The ability to earn bonus points is still around, however, earning at the following rates through March 2025:

To achieve the maximum number of points, you would need to spend $5,000 on Peloton equipment.

Peloton bikes aren't cheap. If you'd like to take one for a test drive before buying, there's good news: You can try them in select Capital One lounges and numerous Hilton hotels in the U.S. You also can rent bikes, though rentals may not qualify for the earning rates above. It will depend on how this codes on your credit card bill.

You also can try a Peloton bike, treadmill or rowing machine in your home for 30 days and get a refund if you decide it's not for you. Note that you need a monthly membership (which costs $44 plus taxes) to unlock all of the Peloton content on your in-home equipment.

If you're considering a Peloton purchase, you could earn up to 10 points per dollar by using a Sapphire card from Chase.

Through March 2025, you could earn up to 50,000 points on these purchases, making it well worth your while to do so — in addition to those fitness gains you'll get along the way.
