Memorial Day weekend marks the unofficial start of the busy summer travel season — and it was one for the record books. May 24, the Friday before the long holiday weekend, was the busiest ever for the Transportation Security Administration, with the agency screening 2.9 million people. In fact, five of the 10 busiest days on record happened this month alone. According to the TSA, the agency screened nearly 8% more people over this year's holiday weekend versus 2023.

A one-way ticket from New York to Los Angeles costs $6,000 and a one-way ticket from New York to London costs $8,000. From New York, the airline operates out of a private airport in Westchester County, and flies to the Van Nuys airport outside of Los Angeles. “We are excited to take the insights we’ve learned over the years to create an experience that is truly dog-first, which is drastically different from just accepting dogs – from the ground to the skies,” Bark’s CEO Matt Meeker said in a statement.

I often recall the deep cherry lip tint I wore on my first night in Paris. My dear Parisian friend complimented me, borrowed it, and planted a kiss on my cheek. Paris' Olympic village was designed to be more sustainable than any other Olympic village before it, in that it provides 16,000 beds and 40,000 meals every day to both Olympians and Paralympians, all of whom can train within 20 minutes maximum of the site and can compete for Olympic medals within 30 minutes of where they sleep.
