Expedia Group will deploy Amadeus' New Distribution Capability technology and integrate its NDC content as part of an expanded strategic partnership.
The integration will enable airlines to reach Expedia Group customers with "the latest merchandizing techniques," according to Amadeus.
Expedia and Amadeus have worked together for about 20 years, and the partnership renewal "marks a significant step forward in our collaboration," according to Expedia Group vice president of global connectivity and partner solutions Chris Hodges.
"Amadeus is determined to enable all stakeholders to make the most of the potential that NDC can deliver, and bringing one of our largest online travel agency partners onboard is a great illustration of this," Amadeus executive vice president of global sales for airline IT, distribution and global online travel agencies Sam Abdou said. "Building on our relationships with both airlines and travel sellers, we are in a strong position to foster cross-industry collaboration on NDC to the benefit of travelers everywhere."
