Tickets for the U.S. Open Tennis Championships go on sale to the general public in early June. It's the final Grand Slam tournament held annually in New York and the crown jewel of the American tennis scene. This year the tournament will take place from Aug. 26 to Sept. 8.
Typically, American Express and Chase offer their credit card holders certain perks associated with the tournament, including members-only lounges and suites.
Another perk specific to Amex cardholders is early access to tickets ahead of the general public release on June 3.

From May 28 at 9 a.m. EDT through June 1 at 11:59 p.m. EDT, Amex cardholders can purchase tickets online through Ticketmaster, the official ticketing partner of the US Open. Amex cardholders are allotted a maximum of eight tickets per day for both day and evening sessions — for 16 total session tickets per date.
Additionally, customers can purchase up to eight ground admission passes per date, applicable during both early access and public sale, per American Express.
Note that all sales are final, with no refunds or exchanges.
In addition to early access to tickets ahead of the general public, we expect Amex to offer cardholders its usual on-the-ground perks. However, a spokesperson could not confirm 2024 perks at the time of publication.
Last year, it offered complimentary bag check, access to the Centurion Suite that The Platinum Card® from American Express and Centurion card holders could reserve ahead of time, and a lounge for other cardholders available on a first-come, first-served basis.
If you're considering getting a new Amex card, the American Express® Green Card is currently offering new cardmembers 40,000 Membership Rewards points after they spend $3,000 on purchases in the first six months of card membership. TPG's current valuation of Membership Rewards points at 2 cents each makes this welcome offer worth approximately $800.
For more information, see our review of the Amex Green Card.
The information for the Centurion card and American Express Green Card has been collected independently by The Points Guy. The card details on this page have not been reviewed or provided by the card issuer.
