Jet2.com and Jet2holidays advanced Bournemouth Airport’s launch to February 2025 due to strong demand, offering earlier Canary Islands winter sun flights.
Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have brought forward the launch of flights and holidays from their newest base, Bournemouth Airport, to February 2025 as a result of the incredible response from customers and independent travel agents. The announcement means that holidaymakers across the region will now be able to enjoy some winter sun in the Canary Islands from February 4th 2025.
The original start date of the companies’ award-winning flights and holidays from the airport was scheduled to be April 1st 2025, however consistent and strong demand has resulted in the company bringing the launch forward by two months.
As a result of the announcement, customers and independent travel agents can now enjoy some winter sun in Tenerife, Lanzarote and Gran Canaria from Bournemouth Airport in 2025. The new flights added today are:
These services will run all-year round, and from April 2025 the companies’ first ever summer programme from Bournemouth Airport will also commence, with 16 sunny destinations on sale across Europe, the Canary Islands, and the Mediterranean.
In this first summer of operations from BournemouthAirport, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays will operate up to 27 weekly flights, including multiple weekly flights to popular destinations across the Canary Islands, Balearic Islands, Turkey and Greece as well as services to hotspots such as Mainland Spain, Portugal and Madeira (full list of destinations below). Two destinations (Fuerteventura and Madeira) are exclusive from Bournemouth Airport.
A fleet of two-based aircraft will fly holidaymakers from Bournemouth Airport on their package holidays with Jet2holidays and leisure flights with Jet2.com for Summer 25.
Since announcing the launch of flights and holidays back in March this year, the companies have reported strong demand and continued excitement from customers and independent travel agents across the Bournemouth Airport catchment area. A range of high-profile awards wins such as Which? Travel Brand of the Year for the third-year running have helped continue to drive this demand from their newest base.
Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays said: “It is very clear just how much customers and independent travel agents are looking forward to enjoying our award-winning flights and holidays from Bournemouth Airport, with the response exceeding all expectations. We know that local holidaymakers cannot wait for Jet2.com and Jet2holidays to launch from Bournemouth Airport, so we have shortened how long they have to wait by bringing forward our launch to February 2025. We cannot wait to get started, our
