Wonder what Americans will be eating next year? Experts who surround themselves with food have a few guesses. And, spoiler alert, it’s nothing you haven’t seen before. Expect current trends seen on social media to take full force in IRL, plenty of plants on every plate and much more diversity in culinary projects across the country.

While we often celebrate our favorite hotels around the world, we rarely spotlight the spaces within the hotel that make the property shine. Often, these are the areas—the bars, the restaurant, the rooftops and more—that become destinations unto themselves, pulling in a devoted set of locals to help turn a hotel into a place that residents use, too. So, as an extension of our recently released 2024 Hot List of the best new hotels in the world, we are highlighting the best new hotel restaurants, spas, and bars, as picked by our editors. Below, the hotel restaurants that compete with the best places to eat, anywhere—and the dishes you can't miss.

The turn off is small and miss-able, shielded by trees and shrubbery even at the start of the year. As we start up the winding, rutted driveway, I anxiously reach for the Tarte Tropézienne my partner Laila and I picked up in Cannes and placed—carelessly, in hindsight—in the backseat of our rented Renault. The layered dessert is both for research and pleasure: I’m here to write my cookbook, le SUD: Recipes from Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, and La Tropézienne is one of the recipes I’m aiming to perfect.

Thanksgiving is less than three weeks away, and who better to get inspiration from than the queen of entertaining, Martha Stewart?

It started with a phone call out of the blue. Like many celebrity chefs, Tom Colicchio–the charismatic head judge on Bravo’s Top Chef–had been approached about partnerships before. But something about this one, with The Jersey Tomato Co., resonated with the eight-time James Beard Award-winner and chef/owner of acclaimed restaurants Craft and Temple Court (New York); Craft Los Angeles; Heritage Steak and Craftsteak (Las Vegas); and Small Batch (Garden City, New York).

Atlanta is a great food city, home to fine dining from James Beard Award-winners (Chai Pani, Lazy Betty and more) and Top Chef contestants (Gunshow), as well as some of the best burgers you’re ever likely to try (Vortex, Slutty Vegan). Many British visitors simply pass through Hartsfield-Jackson airport en route to other US destinations, but food alone is reason enough to spend the weekend.
