Both the Oenotria Land Estate and the Wine Museum were designed by architect and painter Yannis Nanos. The Museum celebrated its grand opening in 2011 and was inaugurated by the famous Michel Rolland, also known as the “flying wine-maker”.Oenotria Land was conceived out of Costas Lazaridis passion for the vine and the love for the mystical gathering between man and wine, friendship and companionship, collaboration and good customer relationship. Inspired by Oenotros and his journey to Sicily, Costas Lazaridis “moved” to Attica to plant a new vineyard with varieties that honor the terroir such as Cabernet Franc, Syrah and Agiorgitiko. He also brought his rich tool, machinery and accessory collection to create the 1500 m2 Costa Lazaridi Wine Museum and thus share his passion with as many more people as possible in a very central location within Greece.
The Wine Museum tour is interactive with all exhibits supported by audiovisual material and specially designed pictures and signs to facilitate information and knowledge flow.
