Months after Marriott International's and MGM Resorts' partnership was initially announced over the summer, the two powerhouse brands have revealed more details regarding their collaboration and what it will mean for it's members.
Known as the «MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy,” members of both programs who link their accounts can transfer Marriott Bonvoy and MGM Rewards points between each program, Marriott shared with Travel + Leisure. Marriott Bonvoy’s membership currently has over 190 million members, and MGM Rewards currently has more than 43 million members.
Members of the Marriott Bonvoy program will be able to earn bonus points on future stays in MGM's famed Las Vegas hotels including Mandalay Bay, Bellagio, and MGM Grand, based on their current status. Platinum, Titanium, and Ambassador members will receive additional benefits such as priority check-in line, complimentary late checkout, and welcome gifts including a $15 food and beverage credit. Marriott has published a full chart of the different benefits for each level.
Marriott Bonvoy also provides special amenities for each level of service, and members at the Ambassador Elite level receive a dedicated concierge to assist with travel plans.
However, MGM Rewards’ members may get a better end of the deal, as the update reveals that those with Gold, Platinum, or NOIR level will be able to status match directly with Marriott Bonvoy to receive status with the hotel chain regardless of a traveler's MGM status.

While neither partner disclosed exactly when the partnership benefits will take effect, Marriott previously shared that “by early 2024, several MGM Resorts destinations will be available for booking on Marriott’s robust digital platforms, including Marriott.com and the Marriott Bonvoy mobile app, with all properties expected to be available soon after.”
Marriott also shared that some of the benefits, such as free self-parking, are only available during a promotional period ending Dec. 31, 2024,
