Low-cost airline Breeze Airways is rewarding travelers both before and after they fly by discounting flights and then offering travelers points toward another flight after they travel.
The airline’s latest sale, which is valid for travel purchased by 11:59 p.m. ET on Sept. 28, offers 25 percent off the base fare with the promo code “SOEXTRA,” Breeze shared with Travel + Leisure. To qualify, new reservations must have a minimum value of $150 and travelers must fly between Sept. 26 and Jan. 31, 2024.
Once travelers fly, they will then earn 5,000 BreezePoints — a $50 value — which they can use towards their next flight. BreezePoints are deposited into a traveler’s account within 10 days after they travel, and must be used within six months.
The sale is valid on all routes Breeze flies.
“Breeze is going the extra mile by coupling a deep discount with our first-ever BreezePoints bonus,” Breeze Airways President Tom Doxey said in a statement provided to T+L. “With our no change and [cancellation] fee policy, we’re inviting travelers to take that trip and then use the extra credit they earn, for another getaway.”
Breeze was first founded in 2021 by former JetBlue founder David Neeleman and currently flies to 37 different cities across the country. The airline is constantly expanding and plans to add new routes to Florida and fly to Illinois for the first time this winter.
The airline operates a low-cost model with three fare options: “Nice,” “Nicer,” and “Nicest,” which includes the company’s Breeze Ascent product that comes with checked baggage, complimentary snacks and beverages, and in-seat AC power and USB and USB-C charging ports. Breeze doesn’t charge any change or cancellation fees for any of its flights up to 15 minutes before departure.
Neeleman has said the airline’s goal is to fly to places where other carriers don’t, choosing smaller airports and cities over major hubs.
