Travel in county Valencia

The Swiss city of Lucerne is the latest to place restrictions on short-term rentals. Lucerne citizens voted (64 percent) to limit short-term rental stays to a maximum of 90 days per year.  

The conventional wisdom back in 2015 was that travel agencies were a shrinking business. But that year, Spanish entrepreneur David Hernández thought he saw a whitespace for creating a fast-growing travel agency business, and he launched plans to create Pangea.

The idea of being stuck on a giant ship in the middle of the ocean with thousands of people riddled Holden Brown with anxiety. It wasn’t just the horror stories about passengers stuck on cruise ships during the pandemic (though that was part of it).

When ancient Romans founded Valencia, Spain, the city was built around the Turia River. The Turia River no longer runs through Valencia. In its place, a beautiful urban park snakes more than five-and-a-half miles through Spain’s third-largest city.

From ancient plazas to the futuristic City of Arts and Sciences complex, to 20 kilometres of Blue Flag beaches, Valencia boasts bags of charm and variety. It’s also gloriously green, with two million square metres of gardens, 150 kilometres of cycle paths and 40 ciclocalles (cycle-priority streets). What’s more, through implementing its ground-breaking 2030 Sustainable Tourism Strategy, Valencia has become the first city in the world to verify and certify its carbon footprint from tourist activity.

Nudging up against the turquoise waters of the Mediterranean, the Valencia region is a long strip of land along Spain’s east coast, blessed with a warm, sunny climate throughout the year.
