Located near Mile Marker 81.6 in Islamorada, the Morada Bay Beach Club now features a new menu that puts a modern Mediterranean twist on some classic Florida Keys’ dishes.
New items on the menu include Florida lobster fritters, spiced baked cauliflower, a vegan coconut bowl, and a seared Ahi Tuna club to go along with the killer views from the complex, which includes several waterfront seating areas and Pierre’s Restaurant, a fine-dining, French-fusion experience set inside a colonial two-story house.
The menu revamp comes as Morada Bay looks to kickstart a new era in its histories. In 2020, both restaurants and its surrounding land were acquired by Northwood Hospitality, which owns Cheeca Lodge & Spa across the highway. Both Morada Bay Beach Cafe and Pierre’s are managed by Executive Chef Stuart Dove.
While the menu and culture continue to evolve post-acquisition at Morada Bay, one thing that hasn’t changed is the beautiful setting, a coral beach and palm grove right on the water, facing west.
Morada Bay Cafe places its tables in the sand, and while many bars and restaurants in the Florida Keys can boast in-sand dining and waterfront views, fewer can offer the spacious and expansive setting of Morada Bay.
Much of the complex remains open space, dotted with various seating areas, including restaurant tables but also Adirondack chairs, fire pits, and a gazebo for events. This makes it an excellent place to spread out, with various places to settle in.
Stop through next time you’re cruising the Keys to give the new menu a try and soak in the setting.

As I slip out of my clothes, my stomach pinches with fear. The beach – Pevensey Bay in East Sussex – is inky black and eerily empty. The sound of slurping seawater seems noisier than usual, the air smells brinier than it does during the day, and the night breeze feels cool and sharp.
