Uber just unveiled a new way to get to the airport.

An Uber from Manhattan to LaGuardia Airport can sometimes cost more than the flight itself. But now, travelers can take the first-ever Uber Airport Shuttle to LGA for $18.

Uber is launching a shuttle service in the U.S. for transportation to airports, concert venues, and sporting events. 

Leaving a music festival outside of Austin in 2014, I remember pulling up my Uber app to book a ride back to the city—but thousands of other festival-goers around me were doing the same thing. After many failed attempts later, with no alternatives to make the nearly 20-mile journey back so late at night, I took a risk and piled into a car with a group of strangers. Thankfully, I was dropped off at my hotel safely.

There’s no denying that Uber is super convenient and an easy way to get around any destination and to and from the airport. But, let’s face it, wallet-friendly it’s usually not.
