You don’t hear about Central Florida very often, and when you do, chances are it has something to do with Walt Disney World. What was arguably the most shocking announcement of the night at the Walt Disney Company's D23 fan event last night in Anaheim, California, wasn't about a theme park (although there were tons of those, too).

When Disney announced last year that it planned to spend $60 billion over the next decade to expand its theme park and cruise businesses, double the amount spent over the previous decade, the company’s stock price instantly dropped.

A vacation to the Bahamas just got easier.  Bahamas-based Western Air  is expanding with new flights connecting popular destinations in the islands and Florida. Western will begin flights connecting Freeport and Grand Bahama to Fort Lauderdale, Florida on August 22, 2024.

Avelo Airlines is expanding its presence in the Delaware and Philadelphia region, just over a year after the carrier returned commercial flights to the Wilmington Airport.
