JetBlue told crewmembers on Tuesday that it is cutting a slate of routes as part of its strategy to restore profitability following the termination of the Spirit Airlines merger. 

JetBlue raised its third-quarter guidance Thursday primarily due to an uptick in bookings, particularly in Latin America. 

JetBlue is seeking a codeshare with British Airways, which would allow the two carriers to significantly expand their networks in the U.S. and Europe. 

JetBlue has had a rough few years. Its attempts at growth — whether through the Northeast Alliance with American Airlines or its merger with Spirit Airlines — have been struck down in court. 

JetBlue Airways announced Friday that two independent directors would join its board as part of a deal with activist investor Carl Icahn.

The controversial Northeast Alliance between American Airlines and JetBlue Airways is officially ending on July 20 after three years of growth.
