Air Canada is expanding its international flying schedule for the summer of 2024, especially to destinations across Europe, including a new year-round route between Montreal and Madrid.
The new Montreal-Madrid service will be operated with a 255-seat Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner and will begin in May, 2024. The route to and from Montreal will be offered five times weekly.
Air Canada will also be increasing flights to destinations across Europe in the summer of 2024 due to high demand for European travel.
Expanded flight schedules from Montreal include Athens, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Casablanca, Copenhagen, Lisbon, Milan, Nice, Rome and Venice. These schedule changes may include an increase to daily flights or an earlier seasonal start date.
From Toronto, expanded flight schedules include routes to Athens, Brussels, Barcelona, Copenhagen, Edinburgh, Lisbon, London, Manchester, Rome and Venice. The expanded schedules may include earlier start dates to more frequent flights throughout the week and daily service during the peak of the summer travel season.
"Air Canada saw a tremendous rebound in international flying this past summer, particularly on the trans-Atlantic, and we expect Europe will remain popular next year,” said Mark Galardo, Executive Vice President of Revenue and Network Planning at Air Canada. “In anticipation of this, we are expanding our flying schedule to offer customers more choice and flexibility as they begin to plan their 2024 holidays.”
"The centerpiece of today's announcement is our new Montreal-Madrid flight,” continued Galardo. “This will be the only year-round service between Montreal and the Spanish capital, complementing our long-standing Toronto-Madrid flights, and offering compelling options for leisure customers and also returning business travelers."
