Civitatis reaches one million reservations from Mexican travellers

Civitatis, the leading platform in online distribution of guided tours, activities, and excursions in Spanish language across 160 countries worldwide, this week the company has reached one million reservations from Mexican users, with 94% of those travelling abroad outside Mexico. During its participation in the 48th edition of the Tianguis Turístico in Acapulco taking place in Mexico, Civitatis took the opportunity to announce its exponential growth in the country and the desire of Mexican travellers to explore countries outside the country. In terms of countries that Mexicans are visiting, Spain holds the first position, followed by Italy, France, and the United Kingdom and the USA. This ranking indicates the trend of Mexicans travelling towards Europe and the USA, which is ahead of other LATAM destinations such as Colombia or Peru. Meanwhile, the top favourite outbound cities for Mexicans are Paris, Rome, Madrid, Barcelona, and London, with most reservations concentrated in those cities. Breaking down further the one million reservations from Mexicans, 28 percent made a reservation as a couple, while 17.8 percent were solo travellers.

Four Seasons Hotel Madrid Is An Art And Spa Lover’s Utopia

The magic of hospitality is staying in a place that isn’t anything like home. A castle, a treehouse, a farm, a yurt: all such places promise an escape from the every day, especially when combined with luxury flourishes that boggle the mind. I am still wondering how ice showed up in the Gobi desert at the Three Camels Lodge in Mongolia or how blueberries came to be served at breakfast at the Explora Lodge on Easter Island. Or, in the case of the Four Seasons in Madrid, how a hotel combined seven historic properties into one sensational art destination.

A foodie weekend in Madrid: how to eat and drink like a local

Freshly fried churros, golden and crisp; a cup of velvety hot chocolate alongside; circles of aubergine striped from the griddle; mushrooms silky with chorizo; a jumble of potatoes smothered in spicy sauce; handmade crisps, crunchy and salty; slivers of jamón serrano; plump Nocera olives; and crumbly, herby morcilla … By the end of our first day in Madrid, my sister Penny and I have eaten all these things. A touch indulgent, maybe, but when you’re staying in a city that runs on its stomach, it seems rude not to go with the flow.
