Low-cost carrier Breeze Airways is adding new routes next year from Mississippi and North Carolina, the latest expansion plans from the constantly-growing airline.
Starting Jan. 12, 2024, Breeze will launch flights from Gulfport, MS, to both Las Vegas and Tampa, the airline shared with Travel + Leisure. Breeze will then launch flights between Raleigh-Durham and Akron-Canton in Ohio starting on Feb. 2.
“Breeze seeks to connect cities that currently don’t have any nonstop flight options,” Breeze Airways’ President Tom Doxey said in a statement shared with T+L. “Now residents of Gulfport and Biloxi will have convenient and affordable service to Las Vegas or Tampa, two of the country’s most popular destinations. We’re also excited to continue our expansion from both Raleigh-Durham and Akron-Canton, connecting those great cities.”
To kick off the new routes, Breeze will put flights on sale starting at $29 one-way from Mississippi to Tampa and starting at $59 to Las Vegas, as well as starting at $39 one-way between Raleigh-Durham and Akron-Canton. To take advantage of the sale, tickets must be purchased by 11:59 p.m. ET on Oct. 30 for travel by Sept. 3, 2024.
In addition to the new routes, Breeze is offering 10,000 bonus BreezePoints to travelers who book a roundtrip flight by 11:59 p.m. ET on Thursday, Oct. 26, and “bundle up” by purchasing either a Nicer or Nicest fare bundle, the airline told T+L. The offer is valid for travel from Oct. 31 through Feb. 13, 2024.
BreezePoints can be used to purchase flights or pay for extras like baggage fees or seat selection.
Breeze was founded in 2021 by former JetBlue founder David Neeleman and operates a low-cost model with three fare options: “Nice,” “Nicer,” and “Nicest,” which includes the company’s newest product, Breeze Ascent, that comes with checked baggage, complimentary snacks and beverages, and in-seat AC power and USB and USB-C charging ports.
The airline, which was named one of the best domestic airlines by T+L readers, has been expanding rapidly with new flights to Florida, Illinois, and beyond.

When my grandmother proposed a girls' trip to Las Vegas to celebrate her 91st birthday, I knew I had to go with my mom, three of my aunts, and my cousin.
Next Saturday at 10 p.m. local time—that’s 1 a.m. on Sunday for East Coast night owls—Formula 1 racing will return to Sin City after a 40-year hiatus with the inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix. Set against a neon-drenched cityscape, the high-octane spectacle will see 20 drivers take 50 laps around the 3.8-mile street circuit, with its 17 turns winding past the new MSG Sphere. After two quick bends and a hard left, it’s a straight shot down the Las Vegas Strip at speeds up to 212 m.p.h., racing past the Venetian and Caesars Palace and zipping between the famed Bellagio fountains and the Eiffel Tower at Paris Las Vegas.
I’m a U2 fan. So when tickets went on sale on April 27 at a new, not-yet-open dome-shaped Las Vegas entertainment facility called The Sphere, I went to the Ticketmaster Web site. I ended up with four seats for the Irish band’s October 27th show. Tickets in the near-nosebleed 400 section were a reasonable $140, including Ticketmaster’s notorious fees.
